About CloudInMyHead

At CloudInMyHead, I share my unique experiences with a variety of subjects. From vintage computers of the 80s and 90s to the thrill of driving Datsun Roadsters, my blog covers a diverse range of interests (future).

Join me as we dive into the world of mountain biking, explore advancements in artificial intelligence and large language models (LLMs), and tinker with cutting-edge technologies like the nVidia Jetson Orin, Python, PowerShell, Android Apps and more.

Vintage Computers from the 80’s & 90’s

Explore the fascinating world of vintage computing, focusing on the iconic machines from the 80s and 90s. Discover their history, significance, and the passion that drives collectors today.

Datsun Roadsters

My 68 Datsun Roadster. An LSD rear end is being built for it now.

I design a couple of parts for the Roadsters. Expect more parts in 2026.

Mountain Biking

Well, the bike’s been parked for just over a year now since breaking bones most every year, but I do plan on getting back in the saddle come spring and making it a routine.

Artificial Intelligence and LLMs

Dive into the world of artificial intelligence, exploring its impact and potential. Learn about large language models (LLMs) and their applications in various fields.

I am catching up on my LLM studies. I’m talking on online class by Ed Donner. He’s entertaining as an instructor which keeps me engaged. My problem is I have too many hobbies to enjoy them in depth. But continued learning is always on my mind and will complete this course. I must as I already signed up for his next.

I also made a Datsun Roadster AI bot where you can ask it how to do replace parts on the roadster and it replies back. This project was more about testing creating a RAG. It’s my first RAG but it is/was a great experience. More will come later.

NVIDIA Jetson Orin

The Jetson study has kind of died as the LLM study has taken over. Earlier last year I purchased a new Orin, when I opened the box there were two in it. both new and unopened. The seller must have gotten them free or won them and didn’t even know what they were (I’m assuming). Anyway, as I learned more about the new model, it was not much different than my previous model. If I patch my older model they were about the same speed. Thus, I sold the two new ones and doubled my money.

PowerShell, Intune and Python

I’ve always PowerShelled program but not very structurally, if that make sense. So, this year I’ve been trying to neaten up my code. I am also working with PowerShell getting data from Intune. Also learning some Python as I need it for the LLM and it’s just good to know. While it is simple, I can’t get used to how it’s written. It almost seems silly. I’m guessing as I learn more, the silliness will make more sense.

Hyperconverged Technologies

While I did achieve NUTANIX certification, that exam was extremely hard and it did not get recognized by my leadership. I do have a small single node cluster at home and I may expand it to a 3 node since I had a 4 node vSphere cluster but Broadcom has ruined the VMUG program so I may decommission my vSphere lab once my keys are dead unless I do more converged work at my employment.

Raspberry Pi and Arduino

I haven’t done much here as I have a few ideas and parts in the que. I did sell off my PI 400s and replaced them with a Pi 500 and a 500+. I many PI 3’s 4’s and 5’s but only one is in use today.
